Apostle Suleiman Was Only Issued A Promissory Note- US Govt Denies Honourary Citizenship Award

The report of Apostle Johnson Suleiman being awarded the highest Honourary Citizenship award granted to non-residents have been flagged as false as there has been no official backing to it.

According to SaharaReporters findings, the clergyman was issued with a promissory letter by a lawmaker in the State Assembly.

Contrary to the claims of Phrank Shuaibu, the publicist of Apostle Suleiman that he was granted the Honourary Citizenship as a non-resident, it was gathered that the alleged award is an insignificant gesture usually made by State legislators in the United States of America.

It will be recalled that BlackBox Nigeria earlier reported how the clergyman was presented with the award during his two days crusade in South Carolina.

Rep John Richard C King who is the Chairman South Carolina Legislators Caucus in the State House of Assembly issued a letter and plaque to Apostle Suleiman conferring him the award.

According to the letter, a promise to confer the ‘honor’ on Mr Suleiman at the State Capitol building in Columbia was made, but prior to that, Rep John hurriedly took the award to the Pastor as he was rounding up with his crusade.

It was gathered that it was in the practice of American lawmakers to present such letters and plaques with no real value as they use same to generate funds for personal use.

Though, there is no confirmation of payment by the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide for the Honourary Citizenship award, but it was learnt that such is usually used to raise campaign funding.

In history of America, it has only granted Honourary Citizenship to 8 persons with the latest issued posthumously in 2014 to Spaniard American war hero, Bernado de Gàlvez y Madrid (Viscount of Galveston and Count of Gàlvez).
