As elections draw close, the drama over who has a majority in the upper chamber of the National Assembly continue to be a major debate with many confused due to the many defections late last year.

However BlackBox has now observed which party has the majority in the Nigerian Senate, this is based on an investigation originally carried out by Punch Newspapers. 

According to findings, the All Progressives Congress currently has the highest number of members with 56 out of 109 while the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party has 46 despite having control of the leadership of the red chambers.

Others include; African Democratic Congress (ADC) with 3 members, Social Democratic Party (SDP) has one member, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has one while the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) also has just one member in Senator Shehu Sanni.
