The Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area, Alhaji Fatiu Salisu is no longer seeking a second term in office.
The incumbent chairman had collected the nomination form and was successfully screened by his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
However, it was learnt that he opted out of the race in the early hours of Saturday, 29 May, 2021 before the commencement of the primary exercise ahead of the forthcoming local government elections in Lagos State.
According to sources, Salisu withdrew for his Vice, Hajia Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba.
An alumnus of the Lagos State University, Motunrayo is the daughter of the late APC Woman Leader for Lagos East Senatorial District and first Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Mrs Fausat Gbadebo.
