APC Leader, Tinubu, Wife Test Negative As Aide Dies Of COVID19
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu coronavirus tests has returned negative, BlackBox Nigeria has learnt.
BBN reliably gathered that the ace Lagos politician was advised to undergo the COVID19 test after his personal security detail, Alhaji Lateef Raheem died from complications related to the dreaded virus.
It was gathered that though the status of the late Security Detail was not known until his death, but his samples were gotten before his burial. It was also reported that other aides were also tested as advised and only one of the aide tested positive and has been taken into isolation by the Nigerian Centre for Diseases Control.
Speaking on the issue, Asiwaju Tinubu stated that Nigerians need not to be afraid of being tested as all hands must be on deck in order to contain the spread of the virus.
He said, “I ask that you not be afraid to be tested if you have any symptoms or if you believe you may have come in contact with someone who has been infected. We must all do we can to contain the spread of the virus and to well treat those of us who have been hot by it.
“As you go about your day, we know you must find daily sustenance. Yet, please continue to do all you can to maintain social distance and to take all other public health measures to protect yourself and others. In this way, we all may contribute to halt the spread of this dangerous virus.”
