The Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, has officially received the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag as the party’s candidate for the July 12 Local Government elections in Lagos State.
She was among 57 chairmanship candidates presented with party flags at a ceremony held Tuesday at the APC state secretariat in Acme, Ikeja.
This signals the official commencement of the campaign season across all LGAs and LCDAs in the state.
The event also featured the presentation of flags to vice chairmanship and councillorship candidates.
State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), and party stakeholders for their roles in ensuring a smooth primary process.
He urged the candidates to honour the trust placed in them.
“Today marks the formal handover of the APC mandate to our candidates. It is your duty now to deliver results and uphold the party’s values,” Ojelabi said.
In her response, Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba thanked the party leadership for the opportunity to serve again, promising to lead with transparency and inclusivity.
“We are committed to accountable and people-centered governance in Ijede. We will not let the party or the people down,” she assured.
