Nigerian-born British professional boxer, Anthony Joshua is just days away from taking to the ring for his revenge mission against Oleksandr Usyk on August 20.
Following his lopsided points loss against the Ukrainian in London last September, the Brit had to wait an agonizing 11 months for the chance to exact his vengeance and reclaim the International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Association (WBA), and World Boxing Organisation (WBO) titles.
Joshua will undertake this objective for the second time after successfully regaining his titles from Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019 after suffering his first career defeat in New York.
The 32-year-old will fight Usyk in Saudi Arabia, returning to the location of their first fight’s sequel, but he will have a difficult time defeating the wily southpaw, who last year won two world championships.
As he prepares for a pivotal night in the ring, Joshua has at least overhauled his coaching staff, in hopes of putting up a better fight.
The Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk fight is scheduled to begin at 10.30 p.m. UK time, or 12.30 a.m. Saudi Arabia time. The best fights from the undercard will be included in the main card, which will start at 5 p.m. UK time. Much earlier in the afternoon, the remaining events on the undercard will take place.
