By The Anambra police command, Tuesday, arrested two suspects for allegedly snatching a tricycle from a victim, on whom they poured a pepperish substance.
According to the Police Public Relation Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed, the suspects; Ikenna Ibemesi, 28, Nkwere Ogidi, were arrested at Umuogali Oba , along the Onitsha/Owerri road.
The duo, after pouring a peppery substance on one Joseph Asogwa, made away with his tricycle, with registration number; NKK 744 QY.
The victim however raised an alarm immediately, attracting the attention of the Oba Division patrol team, and subsequently leading to the arrest of the duo.
Consequently, the Commissioner of Police, CP John B. Abang, urged tricycle riders in the state to be wary of such syndicates, especially as the early hours of the day.
