“The Grammy-winning star, Kenny Rogers whose career spanned nearly six decades, has died at the age of 81, his publicist Keith Hagan told CNN.
The American-artiste was said to have kicked the bucket on Friday night over natural causes while under the care of hospice and was surrounded by his family at the time of death.
Roger’s publicist, in a statement by Hagan, he said “Kenny Rogers left an indelible mark on the history of America music. His songs have endeared music lovers and touched the lives of millions around the world.
“Kenny was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013, he had 24 number 1 hits and through his career more than 50 million albums sold in the US alone.
He was a six-time Country Award Winner and three-times Grammy Award Winner, Hagan said.
