Brenda Akinyi, popularly known as “Brendalicious” on social media, was a Kenyan law student at the University of Nairobi.
She had a large following on Instagram, where she posted pictures of her luxurious lifestyle, expensive clothes, and travels to exotic destinations.
She was also known for promoting several brands on her social media accounts.
On April 30th, 2023, Brenda was traveling to Malaysia allegedly to smuggle cocaine into the country. According to reports, she had ingested 34 capsules of cocaine before boarding her flight.
However, as she arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, she started acting erratically and fell to the ground. She was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, she passed away shortly after.
The post-mortem examination revealed that the capsules of cocaine had burst inside her stomach, leading to her death.
Malaysian authorities arrested several individuals in connection with her death and the drug smuggling operation.
Brenda’s death shocked her fans and followers on social media, who expressed their condolences and disbelief on various platforms.
Many of her followers were unaware of her involvement in drug trafficking and expressed their shock and disappointment.

This is a big lesson for all of us, most especially the youth…
