Nigerian superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been recognized with a holiday to be observed in his honour every November 18.
This is announced by the Mayor of Atlanta, Andre Dickens, who said the development is as a result of the singer’s contribution to entertainment in the city of Atlanta.
The Mayor made the announcement following the 30 BG crooner’s headline A.W.A.Y Festival at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
His message through the Atlanta City Council in a statement reads, “Be it resolved that we, the members of the Atlanta City Council, on behalf of the citizens of Atlanta, do hereby proclaim November 18, 2023, as Davido Day in the City of Atlanta.”
