AIT Chairman, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr Has Tested Positive To COVID19

 

The Chairman of DAAR Communications, Raymond Dokpesi Junior has tested positive for COVID19, BlackBox Nigeria has learnt.

BBN360 gathered that the announcement was made by Dokpesi Jnr himself via a message sent to his staff earlier on Monday, April 27th alerting them of his status. The message was then posted on the company’s website and also added that he has been moved to the Gwagwalada Isolation centre for treatment.

The message reads,  “I got a call this morning confirming the result is COVID-19 positive. I am leaving now to the Gwagwalada isolation centre for treatment and hope to be back in two weeks.

“Many of you may have interacted with me during our various meetings and I would advise you to get tested as soon as possible.”

It was learnt that Dokpesi Jnr had fell ill with symptoms similar to malaria. The illness continued and generated to coughing, after which he contacted the Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC). His samples were taken and the results returned positive. A source disclosed that the NCDC has started with contact tracing of people that might have come in contact with Dokpesi Jnr in the last two weeks.
