By Media aide to First Lady Aisha Buhari, Sulaiman Haruna has reacted to speculations that she is expecting a baby.
Social media went into a frenzy on Monday after pictures of Mrs Buhari with a bloated stomach surfaced online, generating mixed reactions.
The now-viral pictures captured moments when the First Lady landed in Abuja on her return from the Turkey-Africa summit which she had attended with her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari.
While some media users claimed that she was suffering an ailment, others opined that she is pregnant citing her growing belly.
Reacting to the reports, Haruna, in a chat with BBC Pidgin, denied the claims about the First Lady being pregnant or sick.
He said, “I can assure you 100 percent that our first lady is perfectly okay. She is neither sick nor pregnant as some reports claim.
Some of these reports are from mischief makers who don’t mean well. You know, nowadays, people can tamper with photos.”
