Agboyi-Ketu Institutes 10 Million Emergency Support Fund For Victims Of #EndSARS Protest

The Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, Sunday, announced an emergency N10 million support fund for victims of looting and vandalized properties, Blackbox Nigeria reports.

The emergency support funds became necessary after the recent unrest which rocked some parts of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, leading to the  looting of several shops and vandalization of many properties.

Mayor Dele explained that the fund is necessary to compliment the recovery efforts  as put in by victims of the havoc.

The Chairman also noted that a committee will be set up to act as fiscal host for the fund and will also perform an oversight role in ensuring that the affected persons are the genuine recipients.

“The members of the committee will comprise of trustworthy individuals mainly religious leaders, and community leaders.

“Further to this, the local council would also like to appeal to all Nigerians mainly wealthy individuals and corporate organizations to please join hands with us in bringing succour to the victims during these trying times. As the government cannot do it alone.

“In anticipation of this upcoming relief exercise, May God continue to heal our land(Amen).” Mayor Dele said.
