Ossy Prestige, lawmaker representing Aba North/South Federal Constituency of Abia State in the the House of Representatives, is dead.
The Reps member, elected on the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), died after battling an undisclosed illness.
Disclosing his death to Premium Times, Reps spokesperson, Benjamin Kalu, said the late lawmaker was confirmed dead by a family member.
Following this development, the late Prestige is the third member of the House that has passed on during the current ninth assembly.
The Green Chamber had earlier lost two of its members: Jaafaru Illiyasu and Mohammed Faggen-Gawo.
The demise of the lawmaker is expected to be announced on the floor of the House on Tuesday.
