It’s a year today since Mark Zuckerberg’s significant visit to Nigeria. A lot happened then when he came to Nigeria, part of his purpose of coming was to see to it that his Zuckerberg- Chan $24 million Andela funding was put to good use. He also came to visit his biggest customers Nigeria as well as to survey the Nigeria’s rich tech market.

Zuckerberg’s visit has really remained significant and beneficial to the the Nigerian society as a whole. Apart from being the first African country to be visited by the famous Facebook Founder, his visit has improved the Nigerian tech society. More individuals and organisations are becoming interested in computer coding, software development and programming. Parents enrol their kids for this now, students and individuals pay for trainings to become more tech savvy.

Nigerian languages have become more significant on Google and the Internet generally as a whole and we can say that Mark Zuckerberg’s visit to Nigeria really paid off for both parties.
