The King was absent in the ceremony as the Yoruba tradition holds that a king cannot bow or prostrate to anyone as he is second to the gods.
Many social media users have reacted to the news with most concluding that the monarch is in search of a male child.
This speculation originates from the fact that Oba Elegushi has been with Sekinat for over a decade and it is said that they were college sweethearts.
The coronation of Prince Saheed Ademola Elegushi as the Oba Elegushi of Ikateland took place on the 27th of April, 2010 and he has reigned for nearly a decade.
