By AFRIMA Should Include Fuji In Category Of Awards- Sulaimon Atawewe
One of Nigeria’s prominent Fuji artist, Sulaimon Adio Atawewe has advised organisers of the All Africa Music Awards to include a Fuji category in it’s roll of categories so that the practitioners can also be recognised when reeling out the plaques.
Atawewe gave the advise after he performed on the AFRIMA Music Village stage on Saturday where he entertained a handful of the audience who were lovers of the genre of music.
He joined over hundreds of music artists which had converged in Lagos State for this year’s edition of the All African Music Awards.
Atawewe urged the AFRIMA team to include Fuji category in subsequent editions so as to encourage artists in coming years. He said the genre most be included so it can gain full recognition in and around Africa.
