The president of the African Development Bank (AFDB) and Nigerian Economist, Akinwunmi Adesina, has announced the demise of his mother.
Adesina announced the news in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday evening, stating that his mother, Eunice Adesina passed away, aged 92 years.
The AfDB President expressed how blessed he was to have such a mother who nursed and cared for him.
He wrote, “My darling mother, Eunice O. Adesina passed away today at the age of 92.
“I am blessed you were my mother. You gave birth to me, nursed me, cared for, and brought me up. I am forever grateful Mum.
“So long sweet Mum, greet Dad and sleep well. I love you. Your loving baby, Akins”
The tweet has since then generated several reactions with friends and well-wishers sending their condolence messages and also praising the late nonagenarian.
