Adekunle Gold Gets Lagos Street Named After Him

Still basking in the euphoria of his just released sixth studio album, award winning Afrobeats Singer, Adekunle Gold, has been honored with a street named after him in Lagos.

The street, located in one of the housing estates developed by Haven Homes in Lekki neighborhood etched the singer’s name as a landmark.

Now called Adekunle Kosoko Street, it reflects the singer’s birth name and deep roots in Lagos, the city where he grew up and began his journey to stardom.

Sharing the news on his Instagram page, Adekunle Gold expressed heartfelt gratitude.

“The city that raised me now carries my name. Thank you Lord for my many blessings,” he wrote.

The unveiling was witnessed together with his immediate family: Wife, Simi and Daughter.

Known for his unique blend of Afropop and highlife, Adekunle Gold has consistently paid homage to his origins, both in his music and public persona which is deeply rooted in his recent releases Album “Fuji”.

This recent gesture by the community is seen as a recognition of his contribution to Nigeria’s creative industry and cultural influence.
