Ace Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke has joined the league of authors as he launched the first volume of his work, ‘The Gift in The Odds: Walking Through Walls’.
Launched on Tuesday, the 15-part series, according to the movie star, gives an exclusive account of his journey as both a successful actor and an entrepreneur.
Iyke recently shared the exciting news with his fans on his Instagram page.
“And unto serious matters, The Gift In The Odds, my authorial debut launches February 1st, 20222. Pre order on Amazon Kindle, Apple Books and Kobo. This book will change your life,” he wrote.
The actor was inspired to write the book while he was secluded in France with his son during the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
The book also delves into topics like grief, marriage and friendship, beyond revealing the unconventional ways he approaches life.
“As one gets older, one understands oneself, one’s pattern, the people around one and the responsibility that has been entrusted unto one. It is no small gift to influence people. One owes the world a certain responsibility whether one likes it or not. We refused our responsibility along the way but once one embraces it, things would become easy. That is what I do these days. It is about my businesses, family and mental health,” Iyke writes in the book.
The book launch comes days after the actor revealed that the viral video of him beating his colleague, Uche Maduagwu was staged to promote his latest movie, ‘Bad Comments’.
