Abacha’s Former CSO, Al-Mustapha Joins 2019 Presidential Race
Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, the former Chief Security Officer to late Head of State, General Sani Abacha has declared his intention to run for the presidential election in 2019. His declaration became official after series of his posters have flooded the social media by support groups.
Al-Mustapha’s declaration is coming barely a week after Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State made his interest known. But he will be running for the presidential seat via Green Party of Nigeria (GPN).
Major Al-Mustapha’s declaration is coming 19 years after the death of late dictator, Gen Abacha whom he worked directly with until his death at the Aso villa. It is also coming years after he was accused of having a hand in the death of matyr, Mrs Kudirat Abiola, wife of Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, winner of the 1993 presidential election.
He recently revealed that the murder allegations were being made by individuals who never liked his person since the days of Military rule.
