By The lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Chairman House Committee on Defence, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, has once again doled out food items to another 500 households through his iCARE Foodbank programme.
The March 2021 edition was held, on Saturday, at his constituency office along Igbogbo Road where beneficiaries were presented with these consumables.
The iCARE Foodbank is an initiative of Hon. Benson’s iCare Foundation that distributes, on monthly basis, food and grocery products to individuals and vulnerable families within Ikorodu Division. These items are packaged in a bag called ‘APO AANU’.
According to the lawmaker, the gesture was in line with his campaign promise to ensure that no family in his constituency goes to bed hungry, adding that the people of Ikorodu will continously benefit from the iCARE Foodbank as long as he remains in office.
This comes days after the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, accompanied by his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, officially launched the first community radio station in the state, IKD Radio 106.1FM — an initiative of Rep. Babajimi Benson.
