By Tribunal Sacks Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, Orders Election Rerun
The National and State Elections Tribunal in Abia State on Monday annulled the election victory of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu(APC), the Chief Whip of the 9th Senate.
The Tribunal also ordered an Election rerun in Abia North Senatorial District.
It was gathered that the victory of the former State Governor was challenged at the tribunal by his close opponent, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A new date for the election rerun is to be announced by the electoral body, INEC.
