Your self-esteem says a lot about your person and personal abilities. It can either be low, high or hanging in the middle. However, research has shown that many people struggle with low self-esteem; they lack confidence about who they are and what they can do.
Here are 5 simple ways you can improve your self-esteem.
• Don’t compare yourself with others
Focus on your goal and success rather than comparing yourself to someone. That way, you feel more confident in yourself and less pressurised.
• Practice
Set goals and build confidence, and work towards achieving your goals. While at it, don’t forget to relax and exercise the body to release endorphins.
• Be nice to yourself
Make effort to be kind to yourself and build the habit of praising yourself. Always challenge and chase negative thoughts off your mind.
• Nobody is perfect
Always strive to be the best version of yourself. However, accept mistakes and believe that perfection is an unrealistic goal.
• Create time for yourself
Spend time with yourself doing things you love, maybe hobbies or fun activities. Think positively and make yourself happy.
• Accept your mistakes
Everyone make mistakes to learn and grow. So accept yours and learn from them. Failure could be a recipe for growth.
