43-year-old bus driver snipes self to death with sniper

A 43 year old commercial bus driver, Kabiru Bello, has allegedly claimed his life after consuming a liquid substance suspected to be the infamous sniper.
This was verified by the Spokesman for the command, DSP Bala Elkana, in a statement released on Monday.
DSP Bala Elkana disclosed that the Shomolu Pedro Police Station got a tip-off that late Kabiru of No77 Owode Ibeshe, Ikorodu Lagos took his life at about 12:56pm in his Volkswagen commercial bus, with registration number: AKD 724 XM, while at a mechanic workshop situated at Ladylack Bus stop, Shomolu.
“Bello was confirmed dead at the Adesola Clinic Shomolu, where he was rushed after the tragic incident.
“His corpse has been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy,” DSP Balla added.
He further mentioned that one empty bottle of the chemical substance suspected to be sniper was recovered by Homicide Detectives who visited the scene.
In a similar development, two single barrel guns with 12 cartridges, one mobile phone and one laptop have been recovered from fleeing armed robbery suspects by the Ilemba Hausa police division.
The Ilemba police division who received a distress call at about 9:30p.m that one Mr Wale Lawal was being disposed of his laptop by armed men immediately deployed police men to the scene.
The deployed police men gave the armed robbers a hot pursuit, after which they abandoned their black Honda vehicle with registration number: KJA-705 BU. “The recovered items were all contained in the abandoned car” Elkana said.
DSP Elkana also added that the vehicle was moved to the station for further investigation.
