The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, on Monday affirmed that 40 per cent of people in his government would be youths while his Minister for Youth will be less than 30 years.
The former vice president made this know while addressing the youths in a town hall meeting held in Lagos on monday.
“I believe in creating jobs and I am creating jobs for the youth Our President said the economy is in bad shape and he told the governors it is going to be worse. Is this the kind of government that you want to return to power?
Do you know that in this government, there is no single economist? So, they don’t know how to manage the economy. Our lives, whether young or old, depend on the economy” Atiku explained.
Atiku expressed the dire need to invest in education that will enable the youthful poplulation to be productive to themselves and the nation at large.
The Turaki of Adamawa said his government would give incentives to the private sector and create an enabling environment for them to thrive in order to create more jobs.
