Iconic Nigerian music legend, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has announced the unveiling of a new management team in a move to reimagine his legacy and position his brand for renewed global influence.
The multi-award-winning Afro-pop singer made the announcement via his official Instagram page, marking what he described as the beginning of a new chapter in his illustrious career that has spanned over two decades.
In a statement released by Mary Ebubedike, Head of Legal and Communications at A Guy Entertainment, the new team said it is committed to revitalizing 2Baba’s brand to meet the demands of Africa’s fast-evolving entertainment industry while preserving the authenticity that has defined his career.
“We are pleased to officially announce a major chapter in the legendary career of Nigerian music icon, Innocent Ujah Idibia, known as 2Baba,” the statement read.
“This exciting transition comes with the unveiling of a new management team, carefully assembled to reinvent and amplify every facet of 2Baba’s brand.”
According to the statement, the team comprising professionals in music, branding, and entertainment law will oversee all aspects of 2Baba’s operations, including music releases, creative partnerships, global engagements, and social impact initiatives.
2Baba, whose influence has shaped the sound and culture of Afro-pop across Africa, expressed optimism about the journey ahead.
“I’m excited about this new chapter. Change is a necessary part of growth, and I believe this team understands my vision, my legacy, and where we’re headed next. We’re not just celebrating the past we’re creating more magic,” he said.
Widely regarded as one of Africa’s greatest music exports, 2Baba’s career has been defined by timeless hits, groundbreaking collaborations, and a commitment to humanitarian causes.
He recently went into an online fuss when he announced separation from wife and public display of affection for his new lover, Natasha Osawaru.
The new management, he noted, will build on those foundations to explore new opportunities and elevate his voice across the continent and the diaspora.
