2019: Buhari Minister Caught On Tape Campaigning For Atiku
The Internet has been buzzing for hours after a video leaked online showing a member of incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet giving support to one of the influential candidate that may be contesting the 2019 Presidential election.
Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Aisha Jummai Alhassan (Mama Taraba) was seen in a video that has since gone viral calling former Vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar her father and the incoming President come 2017, a statement that has since caused heated arguments between social media users.
Before now, former VP, Atiku has been listed as one of the favourite for the number one position in the country should President Buhari decide not to run for second term , however, this declaration of support by a ranking member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, is causing a stir in the social media and political spheres of the country.
Mama Taraba as the Minister is fondly called is the ministerial appointee from Taraba State. She got the ministerial position after she lost out in the gubernatorial election in the State where she came second behind People’s Democratic Party’s candidate, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku. One may not need to bother to think about her support for Atiku’s candidacy as he is the only one from her geo-political zone, North East.
