2019: Atiku Absent At APC Caucus Meeting With Buhari
The All Progressives Congress, APC, caucus meeting started 8:30 pm at the New Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday with President Muhammadu Buhari and the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo in attendance.
Present at the meeting were Senate President, Bukola Saraki; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; the Deputy Speaker, Yusuf Lasun and the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun as well as the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; but former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was no where in the villa present like his other colleges.
Even the newly appointes Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha was also at the august meeting.
It will be recalled that differences has risen in the party following an open declaration of support for an Atiku’s presidential ambition by one of Buhari’s appointee, Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Aisha Jummai Alhassan as the declaration didn’t go through well with other top members of the ruling party.
