Nearly 15 years after his passing, Fuji music icon, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, continues to captivate audiences, ranking as the third most streamed Fuji artiste on Spotify, with over 185,000 unique monthly listeners.

According to the latest streaming data, the late Barrister, widely regarded as the pioneer of Fuji music, is surpassed only by Saheed Osupa, who holds the top spot, and K1 De Ultimate in second place.

Rounding out the top six are Adewale Ayuba in fourth position, Pasuma Wonder in fifth, and Alao Malaika in sixth, all prominent figures who have carried the genre forward.

The impressive streaming numbers reflect the enduring influence of Sikiru Ayinde Barrister’s discography, which blends Yoruba traditional music, Islamic rhythms, and socially conscious lyrics.

Despite the evolution of Fuji music and the rise of newer stars, Barrister’s legacy remains firmly intact in the digital age.

Fans and music critics continue to celebrate his contributions to Nigerian music, with many noting that his songs still resonate with both old and younger generations on streaming platforms and beyond.
