It is no longer news that Davido’s disc jockey, Dj Olu is dead. It is also no longer news that he died of complications as a result of alleged intake of hard drugs.

- DJ Olu’s was born Oluwagbemiga Abiodun on August 14 1993. Must read: Shocking! How Davido lost 3 friends to death in one week
- Like his friend, Davido, Dj Olu was born in Atlanta Georgia, USA.
- He is the second child of five children his siblings are Lamissa, Tobi, Oyinda and Damilola.
- He is a native of Iperu-Remo, Ikenne Local Government of Ogun state.
- He is the son of businessman turned politician, Dapo Abiodun who is the MD, CEO of Heyden Petroleum.
- DJ Olu’s dad and Davido’s dad are business associates. The Adelekes are also family friends with the Abioduns.
- His father ran for a Senate seat in 2015. Ahead of 2019, he is now running for Governor of the state under the APC.
- In 2016, Gbemiga as he he also fondly called obtained a degree in Business Administration from the University of Essex, UK. He had earlier completed his college education at Bosworth Independent College also in the UK.
- Asides his DJ work, Olu was also a car enthusiast. He ran a bespoke car pimping outfit in Lagos which he called Dj OluCustoms.
- He was also the owner of Vapors, a Night Club situated in VI. The club is also known as Vapors by Olu.
- He became Davido’s DJ in June 2011 and the duo have remained together ever since.
- On Saturday, October 7, 2017, Dj Olu was found dead in a BMW car in a Banana Island garage. Found with his body was the corpse of a friend, Chime Amaechi better known as Chime Salt.
