It appears it will take a while before all Nigerians can get vaccinated against COVID-19, following the latest disclosure from the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).
The health agency has said about 109 million Nigerians will get the vaccine within the next two years.
According to The Cable, Faisal Shuaib, NPHCDA Executive Director, disclosed this development at the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 briefing, held on Monday.
“This guidance is based on the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunisation (SAGE). After excluding those that are under 18 years old, we plan to vaccinate approximately 109 million Nigerians that will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccination over the course of two years,” he was quoted as saying.
