By American born Nigerian rower, Chierika has qualified the country for the semifinals round of the competition in the on-going Olympics in Rio.
The 23-year-old has shown real commitment towards achieving her goal of an Olympic medal for Nigeria despite getting little or no support from the government during her preparatory period
Chierika who came fourth and subsequently fifth in the rowing race qualified for the next stage making her the first Nigerian to compete in the competition and has thrown Nigerians into a frenzy mood with her progress at the games.
