According to images shared by a Facebook user, constituents of Kogi West Senatorial District trooped out in their numbers on Saturday, June 10th to mark a recall register.
BBN gathered that the register is being signed by the electorate who voted him in the first place as they accused the lawmaker of not representing their interest at the National Assembly.
Senator Melaye, the lawmaker turned entertainer has been seen rendering different dancing steps on the social media to torment his supposed enemies and even went as far as performing on a live band stage at an occasion recently where he performed his hit track, ‘Ajeku Iya’.
Before now, the lawmaker has been accused by his constituents of not providing dividend of democracy or give account of his stewardship at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.
If eventually the register hits the required number of electorate expected to successfully recall the lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye may become the first lawmaker to suffer such fate in the nation’s history and create another vacuum in the 8th Senate which currently has a vacant seat after the demise of Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke.
