Rivers, Kaduna, Plateau States Among Areas UK Restricts It’s Citizens During Easter Break

The Commonwealth Office of the Government of United Kingdom has advised all its citizens in Nigeria to stay away from suspected States due to presence of terror and possibility of kidnap.

This restriction notice was sent by the Foreign Travel Advise arm of the office.

Borno, Yobe, Adamawa and Gombe States top the list due to the activities of the dreaded boko haram insurgents who have been terrorising the North East Region of he country.

The riverine areas of Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom States, all of South South Nigeria were also highlighted in the travel advice as kidnapping activities which have been witnessed in the areas.

Also listed were Zamfara, Kano, Kaduna, Kastina, Abia, Bauchi, Jigawa States.

UK citizens currently in Nigeria were also advised to stay clear of within 20km of the border of Niger with Sokoto and Kebbi States.

Also highlighted were some specific areas in Plateau State, namely; Jos city, Riyom and Barkin Ladi LGAs.
