By President Buhari to drop top ministers in imminent cabinet reshuffle
Unconfirmed reports reaching BlackBox Nigeria has it that President Muhammadu Buhari is set to reshuffle his cabinet in a mid-term reorganisation.
To this end, it has been gathered that several top ministers might be losing their positions while some others will be drafted to less juicy ministries.
BBN gathers that the reshuffling is part of the President’s restrategising of the executive. The administration celebrated two years in May and many have been of the opinion that a shaking up of the Ministers is imminent. It was further learnt that this cabinet shakeup might not be unconnected with the cancellation of last week’s Federal Executive Council meeting which holds every Wednesday.
Sources also told BlackBox Nigeria that one of thse who have been clamouring the most for the cabinet reshuffle is vice President Yemi Osibanjo who held sway for over 100 days while President Buhari was recuperating in London. Professor Osinbajo is revealed to have requested from the President a go ahead to reshuffle the cabinet, a request President Buhari put on hold until his return.
The reshuffling is expected to be done in the coming days while BBN has been reliably informed that lobbying has already begun around the power corridors.
