Party Politics: Disciplinary Committee Hands Muiz Banire 10 Years Suspension

 

Muiz Banire SAN, the National Legal Adviser of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress has been penned down for a 10-year suspension by the Disciplinary Committee of the party in Ward C, Mushin, Lagos State.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the Committee which sat on August 14th had two party members; Olukayode Tolu and Ayodele Adebayo testified against Mr Banire whom they accused of activities that could undermine the integrity of the party.

The two aggrieved members accused the chieftain of dragging the party to Court before the July 22nd Local Government Area Elections which was capable of jeopadising the outcome of the elections.

Despite the absence of Banire at the Disciplinary hearing, the Committee recommended that he get suspended for 10 years and also not to hold any position in the party for the period.

It will be recalled that Banire had recently disclosed that executives in the Ward level doesn’t have the capacity to suspend him as he was a National official of the party.

The Chairman of Ward C, Mushin, Bolaji Amusan confirmed receipt of the report from the Committee and stated that it will be submitted to the party’s local government executive for necessary action.
