Owner of LASU Certificate Found In Suya Spot Responds, Says Certificate Was Rejected For Surname Error

Following the news that dominated the social media in the last couple of days as regards the original certificate of Lagos State University supposedly belonging to Abisoye Azeez Oluwaseun, found at Suya spot in Epe, the owner has responded to the broadcast.

The purported owner whose real name is Abioye as against Abisoye responded through a former classmate who said he put a call across tonhim .

”The actual person was my classmate… He had been contacted… He informed that he actually rejected this particular certificate because his name was spelt wrongly… His surname is “ABIOYE” not “ABISOYE” as indicated in the certificate… He is in possession of the rectified certificate… Thanks, ” he posted on LASU Alumni WhatsApp group.

Despite the new development, BlackBox Nigeria is still worried about how the old certificate got to a Suya Spot in Epe.

Given the process of obtaining a new certificate when there is an error on the one issued by the University, the old certificate should have been returned to the school, how did it slip to the Suya Spot?
