Oshodi Crisis: NURTW State Council Reconciles Warring Parties, MC Olumo And Skibo (PICTURES)

The leadership of the National Union Road Transport Workers (NURTW) on Thursday called the warring parties in the on-going crisis in Oshodi area of Lagos State.

Recall that crisis began on Monday, May 29th after the LGA primary elections of the All Progressives Congress in Shogunle area of Lagos when a leader of Union was shot dead.

It was gathered that a group loyal to the MC Oluomo faction of the area led the attack which killed Rasak Bello (Hamburger), after which unrest took over the terrain.

During the burial of Bello, another leader in the area, Adedigba Adepegba popularly known as Taloskibo revealed that MC was behind the killing as he also accused him of killing a fellow member long time ago.

In his response, MC replied Talo via a statement which he released from America, where he said he was at the time of the crisis. He distanced himself from all the killings.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the reconciliation meeting was held at the Alagbado area office of the Union organised by the State Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede.

The two warring parties, that of Talo and Oluomo were present at the meeting just as they were seen hugging each others in friendly manner.

Also present at the meeting were other State Executives and State Elders’ Committee. It was then disclosed at the end of the gathering that there was no more war in Oshodi.

It will also be recalled that the Lagos State Government led by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has ordered the indefinite ban on the activities of the Union in Oshodi following the crisis that have since killed people and injured many others.
