The former lawmaker and two-term Governor’s woes began on February 23rd when he lost his Senate election bid under the platform of the APC then to days later when the party announced his suspension from the party.

It was gathered that Senator Amosun’s anti-party activities in the State led to his suspension and possible expulsion from the party due to his open support for the governorship candidate of Allied People’s Movement (APM), Adekunle Akinlade. It is no longer news that the outgoing Governor failed to support the candidate of his party, APC, Dapo Abiodun.
