LASU student attempts suicide, jumps into Lagos lagoon

An unconfirmed undergraduate of Lagos State University, LASU was yesterday rescued alive after plunging the Falomo lagoon.

Reportedly identified as Kingsley Gabriel, the young man jumped into the lagoon in an attempt to take his own life but as fate will have it was rescued alive before he could drown.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that Kingsley was rescued by officers of the Lagos State Waterways Authority, LASWA who saved him and took him into custody.
In a video obtained by BBN, Kingsley Gabriel was seen telling his rescuers to leave him to die.
“Let me die, you people should just leave me alone. What is in this life?” he asked rhetorically.
BlackBox Nigeria reached out to the authorities of the Lagos State University but there has been no response as at the time of publishing this story.
