By LASU To Investigate How Its Certificate Got To Suya Spot In Epe
The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun, SAN, has directed immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the certificate purportedly found at a suya spot in Epe.
According to a statement signed by Ademola Adekoya, the Coordinator, Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations and made available to BlackBox Nigeria, the report of the investigation will be made available to the university community once its available.
The Vice Chancellor expressed his appreciation to all for their concern in the certificate issue, stating that it is a “reflection of the resolute determination of all to protect the integrity of our great Institution.”
“Follow up to the trending LASU certificate on the social media, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun, SAN, has directed immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the certificate purportedly found at a suya spot in Epe. The University community will however be informed of the findings. The Vice Chancellor expresses his appreciation to all for their concern which is a reflection of the resolute determination of all to protect the integrity of our great Institution,” Adekoya wrote in his statement.
BBN360 had earlier reported the response from Abioye Azeez Oluwaseun who is believed to be the owner of the certificate.
Speaking through a former classmate, Abioye narrated that there was a mistake in the certificate found at the Suya Spot and he had requested and got a new one from the University.
How the initial certificate got to a Suya Spot is the subject of the VC’s investigation.
