Reacting to the felony arraignment, Adeyemi stated that Odukoya only committed a ‘simple offence’ when he attempted to commit suicide1. He added that the Law states that a person found guilty of committing suicide shall be ordered to be hospitalised by the Court.

He sighted  Section 233 of the Lagos Criminal Law which states, ‘any person who attempts to kill himself is guilty of a simple offence and the court shall make a hospitalization order‘, saying no need to send him to jail. He however added his willingness to provide his legal services in case the Police arraign Mr Odukoya on different charge other than simple offence.
