Lagos: INEC Release Cash To Pacify Protesting Ad-hoc Staff For Smooth Exercise

Updates reaching BlackBox Nigeria at the moment has it that most polling units in Agboyi-Ketu and Ikeja areas of Lagos are yet to commence voting as Ad-hoc staff of INEC protested against ill treatment by the electoral body.

Low turn out of voters in Surulere

A source confirmed to BBN that early Saturday morning, Ad-hoc staff showed up at the INEC offices in Lagos protesting and not ready to work except they are paid their allowance of N10,000 being owed by the electoral body.  The situation was however brought under control when INEC officials brought in cash to resolve the crisis.

In other parts of Lagos State, voting is going on smoothly as reports from Ikorodu North, Magbon(Badagry) and Surulere state that electorate are peacefully going about the voting even though low turn out of voters were recorded in some of these areas.
