IKORODU DIVISION YOUTH MOVEMENT SENSITIZES IJEDE LGA OF IKORODU, READY TO HOST OCTOBER 1 YOUTH SUMMIT

 

In its usual practice, all is set for the Ikorodu Division Youth Movement to host the second edition of its youth summit scheduled to take place later today, Tuesday October 1st 2019 as it takes the campaign train to Ijede Local Council Development Area, LCDA to preach the gospel of youth inclusiveness in governance for a better Ikorodu division in Lagos state.

The sensitization campaign which was held yesterday, Monday, September 30th, 2019 also doubled as the introductory event to the Ikorodu Summit organized by the non-partisan group which is centered on charting the developmental course of Ikorodu through its youthful population.

Members and well-wishers of the group led by the chairman of its board of trustee, Dr. Abatan moved from one street to the other to announce the good news calling on youths residing and doing business in the division to get involved in the forum to talk ways to better their lots.

 

 

Recall that BlackBox Nigeria reported weeks ago during a media parley organized by the group that this year’s summit will feature dignitaries like Mrs. Ruth Bisola Olusanya, Dr. Surajudeen Mudasiru, Mr. Lanre Kuye amongst other government officials to jaw-jaw on ways youths can be empowered under the current administration.

 

 

Recall that we also reported that according to the organizers, this year’s edition of the Ikorodu Youth Summit will be that with a difference as youths will be empowered to acquire different vocational skills through the different Vocational Centres about to take root across its division courtesy the divisional movement.

 

The event is scheduled to kickstart by 9 am today at the Ikorodu Town Hall.
