The body of Police Inspector, Musa Sunday have been finally found after he went missing sometimes in November 2016 after he was posted to Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State.

According to a report by Punch, Sunday’s remains was found in a shallow grave located in a bushy area at Akodo, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. The body was found in a stage of advanced decomposition.

It was gathered that Sunday and other officers were sent to the community last year to resolve an impending land dispute. On arrival, the Police team rescued a man from a mob of hoodlums. Just as other officers took the rescued man to the vehicle to keep him safe, the hoodlums were said to have pounced on Inspector Sunday who led the team.

The other Police officers were said to have left the scene of the incident without Inpsector Sunday and no arrest was made on that day. He has since gone missing.

They disclosed that they surely would know about the incident.

After the body was recovered, the Police disclosed that a DNA test will be conducted. Samples were gotten from the deceased family member. The pathologist revealed that the result will be ready in three weeks after which the body will be released for burial.
