By Final Straw! Tinubu Tells Ambode,”You Are Not Going Again”
In what looks like the final straw to break the second term bid of incumbent Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, the National Leader of All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, few hours ago told Ambode to forget his ambition and line behind the choice of the party.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, BlackBox Nigeria gathered made the statement at the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) meeting in the presence of the Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the incoming Governor of the state, Oyetola whom had come to thank Tinubu on the recent Osun victory.
Sources at Bourdillon where the meeting took place told BlackBox Nigeria that Tinubu said to Ambode’s face,”you are not going again. All the Lagos Gubernatorial aspirants where here. Hamzat and Sanwo-Olu left first but Ambode stayed longer. In the end, it didn’t end on a positive note.”
Following the aftermath of the meeting, it was gathered Tinubu would be meeting with members of APC at a stakeholders meeting tomorrow Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the state party secretariat in ACME. Many are of the opinion that the meeting is to give final direction to Party members on who to support at the APC primary scheduled for Sunday.
Earlier in the week, Governor Ambode had resurrected his second term bid by flooding major streets in the centre of excellence with posters and billboards,while hoping he could secure Tinubu’s support.
