Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose has presented car gifts to the State Commissioner for Finance, Toyin Ojo and the Accountant General, Yemisi Owolabi following their release from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Recall that operatives of the EFCC arrested the Commissioner for Finance and the Accountant General on September 28, and were later released after two weeks from custody.

Shortly after their release, Fayose promised to buy the duo cars as soon as possible.

At the event which took place at the Government House in Ado Ekiti, the Governor stated that the gifts were in compensation of their unlawful detention by the anti graft agency.

However, Fayose also said the state will take legal action against EFCC having disobeyed court order restricting them from inviting Ekiti Government officials.

Fayose used the moment to assure officials of the State Government’s ceaseless support.
