These 10 errors live with Nigerians:

1. I checked on you several times (not, severally).

2. She’s noisy (when you mean being talkative, the right word is noisy and not lousy).

3. She is mediocre (not, a mediocre). The word is an adjective; not a noun.

4. The politician defected (not, decamped).

5. In conclusion, knowing grammar is knowing a language (not conclusively).

6. I got stuck (not, stucked).

7. Between you and me (not, between you and I).
8. Funnily enough I didn’t see him (not, funny enough).

9. Joking apart, every Nigerian needs these lessons (not, joke apart).

10. I’m planning to do something along the same lines (not, along the same line).
