Every sector responsible for the well-being of a prosperous state seems to be the focus of the current administration of Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos as the Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar, yesterday Monday July 22 assured that Paralympic sport will receive a renewed drive from government.

He revealed this shortly after he welcomed the victorious National Para Powerlifting Team back to the Country from their exploits at the World Para Powerlifting Championships in Kazakhstan at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
The delighted Director General thanked the Team for making the Country proud and informed them that His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu has a passion for Sports particularly, the Paralympic Sports which is part of the state holistic plan.
During the competition, Nigeria came second overall and won the best female Athlete award at the just concluded Para-Powerlifting Championship.
Also, on the welcome the Athletes is the Lagos Liaison Officer Alhji Durotoye and Queen Uboh, President, Para Powerlifting Federation.
